Pablo Oliva is the founder of Sun Valley Financial and has spent 15+ years in the financial services industry. Even as a teenager, Pablo was drawn to the financial world and the impact that finance has on different cultures. This deep interest in his career path was driven by his upbringing, having moved from Mexico to Arizona at a young age.
Pablo started working in financial services industry right out of high school, before he attended Northern Arizona University. He started his journey as a teller, banker, and then financial advisor at a multitude of top-performing financial institutions, receiving extensive experience from Chase Bank, Wells Fargo, Vanguard, and AXA Advisors.
His previous positions provided valuable experience which continue to aid in his process with current clients. Also based on that past experience, he deliberately chose to structure Sun Valley Financial as an independent, fee-based firm.
“I feel we are capable of providing better services because of our independence from any one single financial institution’s proprietary products or obligation to meet quotas. ‘Sales’ shouldn’t even be considered as part of what we do, as far as I am concerned. After creating your overall financial plan, we offer strategies from dozens if not hundreds of companies, allowing us to provide unbiased advice based strictly on your unique goals. You make decisions based on our research,” Pablo says.
Pablo holds Series 7, 63 and 66 securities registrations as well as a life & health insurance license in Arizona. His firm, Sun Valley Financial, has grown in the last few years, and is now partnered with many top hospitals, nurses’ associations, physicians, small businesses and individuals in the Phoenix area. He often helps employees optimize their work benefits, including reviews of employee stock purchase plans, group life, retirement plan selections and helping people with self-directed brokerage accounts. Eliminating investment redundancies for working couples is another specialty.
Outside of work, Pablo enjoys spending time with his son, family, cooking, and traveling. He hits the golf course on a regular basis and volunteers for variety of nonprofits.
